One Day Japanese Black Ink Painting Workshop on in Ireland 2nd March 2024

A new In-Person Japanese Black Ink Painting Workshop on in Ireland this March is now open for booking. This One-Day Workshop at the Brú Ború Cultural Centre beside the historic Rock of Cashel in Cashel, Co. Tipperary will take place on Saturday the 2nd of March from 10am - 4pm. 

In this Workshop for Beginners, participants will learn brushstrokes and techniques used for painting grasses, flowers, trees and mountains.

Sumi-e is the Japanese word for the Art of Black Ink Painting. It is a unique art form in which the fewest possible strokes are used to capture the essence of the subject being painted using only black ink, handmade paper and a special brush. It is calming and relaxing.
