Beginners will be introduced to the Art of Black Ink Painting and will learn about materials, basic brushstrokes and techniques used for painting grasses, flowers, trees and mountains.

Sumi-e is the Japanese word for the Art of Black Ink Painting. It is a unique art form using only black ink, handmade paper and a special brush.

All In-Person One-Day Workshops: 10am - 4pm

• One-Day Japanese Black Ink Painting for Beginners Workshops at the beautiful Brú Ború Cultural Centre, Cashel, Co. Tipperary from 10am - 4pm with break for lunch (please bring your own lunch)
• Use of materials is included
• Refreshments are included

All Live Online Half-Day Workshops: 10am - 1pm

• Includes list of recommended basic beginner’s materials.
• Suitable for Beginners or as a review/refresher for those who have previously attended.
• These Workshops consist of four 40-minute segments with a 5-minute break between each segment.
• The Workshop session invitations will be emailed to participants one hour prior to the Workshops.
