Half-Day Workshop | Sumi-e for Beginners

Sumi-e is the Japanese word for the Art of Black Ink Painting. It is a unique art form using only black ink, handmade paper and a special brush. In this live online Workshop, participants will be introduced to materials, basic brushstrokes and techniques used for painting grasses, flowers, trees and mountains.

Sumi-e uses the fewest possible brushstrokes to capture the essence of the subject being painted. It is a beautiful and expressive art form.
